Acquired in 1998 by WFC, the Shore Road property is maintained as a grassland or prairie. The Shore Road property is home to many avian species, including American Goldfinch, American Robin, Barn Swallow, Black-capped Chickadee, Brown-headed Cowbird, Downy Woodpecker, European Starling, Gray Catbird, Mourning Dove, Northern Mockingbird and Turkey Vultures. Various butterfly species have been observed on the property as well, such as the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and the Monarch Butterfly.
